CALL PUBLIC HEARING TO ORDER

Chairperson Macro called the Public Hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. and appointed Peter Jennings to sit in for Edwina Futtner.

READING OF LEGAL NOTICE

Chairperson Macro read the Public Hearing notice published in the Journal Inquirer on April 28, 2009.
PRESENTATION OF APPLICATIONS FOR CERTIFICATE OF APPROPIATENESS

Doug Grover appeared to present the application for a Certificate of Appropriateness to fill in an existing vinyl pool and remove the surrounding fence at 1752 Main Street.

ADJOURNMENT

A motion to adjourn was made at 7:40 pm by Commissioner Walter Fitzpatrick, seconded by Commissioner Peter Jennings and approved unanimously.

CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 7:41 p.m. and appointed Peter Jennings to sit-in for Edwina Futtner.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
A motion to approve the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Meeting on April 7, 2009 was made by Peter Jennings, seconded by Virginia Macro. The motion carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS
1)   A motion to approve the Grover application for Certificate of Appropriateness as presented was made by Peter Jennings, seconded by Walter Fitzpatrick, and approved unanimously.
  • The Chair reported on a telephone request from Lorraine Jones to replace the existing cedar post and wire fence around her south pasture with a split rail fence. Commissioners agreed that a split rail fence would be appropriate to the site and that we would let her proceed, providing she would complete the required application for our next meeting.
  • Les Clapp described repairs to the roof of the southern enclosed porch at 1726 Main Street. After discussion, the Commission did not consider the repairs a change of style and decided a Certificate of Appropriateness was not required.
OLD BUSINESS
1)   Regarding the final review of the specifications for the Kerrigan addition, it was anticipated that printed specs would be available by our next meeting and we could sign-off on the Certificate of Appropriateness at that time.

ADMINISTRATION
1)  Commissioner Macro reported that the Phase II Survey was in process.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made at 8:00 by Peter Jennings, seconded by Virginia Macro and approved unanimously.
